Status Update on Com Net's GigEPAC Application to the ARRA BTOP Program: When asked for a status update on the Com Net GigEPAC application, Tim Berelsman indicated that as of today Com Net has not received communication on a final decision related to its application. He did, however indicate that a decision was expected in the very near future simply because the GigEPAC application was considered in Wave 1 of the NTIA's 3 Wave process that is expected to conclude by September 30th of this year. Com Net announced expanded capacity availabile for its Carrier Ethernet Transport Services to Columbus, Ohio from Northwest Ohio. Com Net has secured 1 Gig Wave Service from its wholly owned subsidiary between Findlay, Ohio and Worthington, Ohio. Com Net has equipped 535 Scherer's Court, in Worthington, OH as an Ethernet Service PoP that is connected over leased fiber to Com Net's established Dedicated Internet Access PoP at 180 E. Indpendents Fiber Network, a wholly owned subsidiary of Com Net, announced today that it now has lit 1 Gig and 10 Gig Wave Services from Northwestern Ohio to Worthington Ohio with carrier presence at 535 Scherer's Court.

Com Net GigEPAC BTOP Application Status Update - Tim Berelsman commented today "that at this point we feel we have substantially addressed the NTIA review team questions and now all we can do is wait for them to get back with us on a final determination." Com Net was notified today that its GigEPAC application for funding under the ARRA BTOP program has entered the active due-diligence phase and will be considered in wave 1 of a 3 wave process by NTIA. Check back for additional information.

Com Net meets deadline and files an application for funding under the ARRA BTOP program. The application was filed as the GigE Plus Availability Coalition (GigEPAC) Project. Check back for status as all awards are currently planned to be announced by the end of September 2010.

Com Net announced today that it would be submitting for Federal Stimulus Funding as the Primary Applicant for Round 2 of the ARRA BTOP program. Tim Berelsman commented that "we will leverage the assets of Com Net, along with those of our long-standing Telcommunications owner-partners to realize the greatest value for every $1 spent. This will be done by delivering the greatest coverage area and therefore availability of broadband services by deploying a high capacity Middle Mile Fiber Network that is complementary to the existing facilities of our Last Mile Broadband Service Provider Partners. This is consistent with our mission of working to achieve collectively what can not be realized independently."

Com Net announces general availability of Sports Time Ohio in High Definition for its eligible and authorized Local Video Providers. Com Net's Local Video Providers can now log in through the CNI IPTV Administration Portal to add STO-HD to the line-up of their choice in their respective service region.
