Com Net announces general availability of Sports Time Ohio in High Definition for its eligible and authorized Local Video Providers. Com Net announces it has added SecureIT suite of client software as a replacement for its end of lifed ICC (XSTOP) server based content filtering service. This value add Advanced Internet Service will be available for Com Net's Affiliate ISPs and licensed bright.net ISPs to activate and offer to their subscribers on an opt-in basis. In addition to content filtering, the SecureIT Suite includes Virus protection, POP-up blocker and other client software based utilities.

Com Net completes upgrade to its signature "dbadd" ISP Subscriber Admnistration portal. This combination software and hardware upgrade improves the Web interface capabilities and response time. The "dbadd" administration portal is Com Net's signature feature for its Affiliate ISP and licensed bright.net ISP suite of ISP operation support services.

Com Net, through its wholly owned subsidiary Independents Fiber Network, has appropriated funds for a six figure investment to light an additional 100+ miles of fiber. This new fiber segment will be equipped with Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and a 10 Gigabit Network will initially be lit over one of the waves extending from Northwest, Ohio and Central, Ohio for expanding the availability of its lit Ethernet Transport Services.
